Chanel Matt Lumiere Foundation
This foundation is amazing. The hype around it is deffinatly worth it. The Pro Lumiere is the one you tend to hear about, but for oilier skin types this one works very well. Its very liquidy, which makes the application easy. I find a foundation brush is best for application, especially with a buffer brush. It gives a good coverage and lets your skin breath. Its worth the money if your interested in investing in one. I paid £29.50 (I think).
Barry M Fine Glitter Dust
I actually got a voucher for a free one of these with a particular issue of More magazine. I chose a sheer light gold colour ('iridescent gold'), which is great for highlighting, but I have used it all over the eye for a dramatic glittery look. The pigments are gorgeous and actually glittery on the skin, and they stay on all day, which is a touch. I would recommend using a eye primer first though (I use Benefit 'Lemon aid'), to keep the colour for longer time and add intensity.
A swatch on the back of my hand, although it looks quite silvery.
Recently, I also purchased the 'dark chocolate', though I have to say I am not as impressed. The colour is a dark brown, which is perfect for brown smokey eyes, or using on its own for blending it out into a lighter colour. However, the glitter is nowhere near as intense as it is with the iridescent gold.
It looks quite light on the camera, but the glitter deteriorates throughout the day.
Mac Naked Pigment
This product again, had a lot of hype around it and before I bought it, I was in need of a nude eyeshadow. Its not too pink which I like, and is perfect for a natural look. There is a shimmer, I wouldn't say glitter, but it has a nice sheen when I applied it. I did expect it to be a bit brighter, however, I think that just may have been the brush I was using. I would recommend applying it onto the eye with a big blender brush, rather than patting it on. On a night out I used it with a nude lipstick on my lips; just patting on a little with my finger. It looked really pretty and iridescent. This is a nice product, but I would only suggest buying it if you are fair/olive skinned and are looking for a nude eyeshadow.
