Micro-Trend 'Fruity Tooty'

It feels like forever since the last time I actually blogged, however, I am back with a vengeance and feel slightly exhilarated to be back on the blogging scene. Being busy with work, university (before we broke up) and learning to drive I have found myself neglecting my humble blog.

On the positive side, recently I have been doing a hell of a lot of shopping. Fast approaching me at the end of July is my summer get away with a few friends to sunny Cyprus. I have been picking up bits and bobs here and there (expect to see a blog post about my star buys) over the past two months or so.

A particular trend which I have been loving recently is the tropical, fruit themed one. Making me think of beaches, tropical fruits and most importantly, cocktails! On the Spring/Summer catwalks, tropical prints were a big influence.

Moschino

Prada

Stella McCartney

This tropical trend, or as I refer to it "Fruity Tooty' has quickly transcended onto the high street for this season and it is absolutely everywhere. Some pieces I have seen have looked amazing; just the right amount of colour, with a simple, yet eye-catching print. Others, not so much; slightly gimmicky and tacky. However, here are a few I have managed to find on the web from high street brands.

Dorothy Perkins

H'n'M

River Island

Topshop
